Not sure why but when I looked at the list i decided on Monday Mourning.
"Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?" Fry - Futurama - Season 1 Episode: My Three Suns
I think Bare bones is the funniest, because it is the one where she takes the so expected plunge with Ryan. It also had the only case (of her collection) that I couldn't guess the criminal.
So far my favorite is Grave Secrets, but in may we have Bare Bones published in Finnish maybe that book is changing everything. In my opinion Grave Secrets is quite dark, but once in a while there is also a bit humor. Ex specially those two rivals.
I've loved the books and it is hard to vote for one in particular. I'm always partial to the first one because if I wouldn't have liked Deja Dead I may not have continued to read the series. I'm almost finished with Bare Bones and that one has been a joy to read. I loved Fatal Voyage and Death du Jour also. Deadly Decisions and Grave Secrets were OK for me. I like to follow the characters and how they are connected and Deadly Decisions left me confused as to who was who and which biker group they belonged too. Grave Secrets had its good moments but overall that book took me the longest to read.

I think I agree with you there and although I chose Fatal Voyage I also quite like Death du Jour beucase of much the same reason you like Deja Dead. It was the first Kathy reichs book I read. Was a christmas gift and so it was the firsst one I read.
